We know this isn’t the most glamorous part of wedding planning, but please take a moment to read through our Terms & Conditions before booking or placing your order.

Each Bridesmaid by JB dress is made to order especially for you, which means that once confirmed, orders cannot be cancelled, changed, or refunded.

Our terms are in place to keep everything running smoothly and to ensure every bridal party receives the care, quality, and attention they deserve.

We take these policies seriously to protect both our brides and our small but growing brand, and we truly appreciate your understanding and respect for them when choosing to order with us. 🤍


Important Information About Appointments & Online Orders

Our showroom appointments are available all year round; however, they are subject to our team’s availability and can book up quickly during peak wedding months.

If you are planning to visit our showroom to confirm your choices, colours or customisations, please do not place an order online before securing an appointment.

Placing an order online does not guarantee that an appointment will be available afterwards. We cannot always accommodate appointment requests at short notice, even if an order has already been placed, due to limited stylist and showroom capacity.

To avoid disappointment, please ensure you have successfully booked an appointment first if your intention is to visit the showroom. You are of course welcome to order online at any time, but this should only be done if you’re confident in your choices and do not require an in-person appointment.

22 Week Deadline Policy 

To maintain the high standards and organisation required for our made-to-order production process, all customers must adhere to our 22-week deadline. This timeframe allows us to source fabrics, schedule production, and complete every gown to our quality standards well ahead of your wedding date.

Following challenges experienced during the previous season, we have implemented a strict no-leniency policy for late orders or delayed measurements. This rule is essential to protect our production team and ensure every bride receives her dresses on time and to the highest standard.

Orders cannot proceed unless all required measurements, details, and confirmations are received in full by this 22-week deadline.

Under no circumstances can we accept late measurements or appointments that fall beyond this timeframe, even by a single day.

If full or partial measurements are not received by the 22-week deadline, the order will be terminated without exception and a full refund issued.

Please ensure you are confident in meeting this requirement before placing an order. Bridesmaid by JB Ltd cannot make adjustments or extensions once production schedules have been confirmed.

Payment information 

Payment in full is required at the time of ordering ahead of any work being carried out by Bridesmaid by JB. Production lead-times will not start until all monies are cleared on an order, any partial payments/incomplete invoices will remain with Admin until full payment is made.

ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS 

Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

Our Showroom Policy & Etiquette  

The Bridesmaid by JB showroom is an inviting and luxurious space recently opened for all bride-to-be's to visit for a session of dress up with your bridesmaids for a unique and unforgettable shopping experience. All appointments are conducted by our team of Bridesmaid Stylists, who are always on hand to help and guide you through your appointment if you require assistance. Please be kind and respectful to them - they are there to help you and will provide the best level of service during your appointment to ensure you leave happy provided you treat them with the same level of respect and kindness during your visit.


Arriving for your appointment

Please arrive on time to your appointment, if you arrive late we cannot extend your appointment time slot, it will conclude as per your booking. In the event that you are delayed starting your session through no fault of your own then you will still receive the full duration you booked, it will not be cut short. Please also be considerate of an appointment that may well be in session if you arrive at the showroom earlier than your start time. We have 1 seating area which we may be used to conclude each appointment on, if you arrive early please remain in your car/transportation until your start time to allow for the previous appointment to not feel pressured into leaving/concluding if they are still with us. If we are ready for you earlier than planned we will come and invite you in.


Care of Our Showroom Dresses

All of our showroom samples are handmade, and we kindly ask that everyone treats them with the same care and respect that goes into creating them. These dresses represent our team’s hard work, craft, and livelihood and we want every bridal party to enjoy the best possible experience trying them on.

We understand that bridesmaids may not always be aware of our brand or the level of care required for our handmade samples. We kindly ask that you share our showroom policy with your bridal party in advance and ensure that everyone attending treats our dresses with the same respect and care we put into making them.

Please ensure your bridesmaids avoid wearing fresh fake tan, heavy make-up, or body products that could transfer when attending your appointment. Unfortunately, we’ve previously experienced damage to our samples, including tan and make-up marks that have left some dresses temporarily unusable. When this happens, the affected pieces must be removed from the showroom for cleaning, taking them out of circulation for at least a full day, which can impact other clients’ appointments.

To keep our full collection available for everyone to enjoy, we ask all guests to follow this policy carefully. In cases where a dress is returned with visible staining, odours, or marks that prevent it from being re-used the same day, the person who booked the appointment will be contacted to cover the professional cleaning costs and any loss of earnings caused by the dress being unavailable to other clients.


The fabrics we use are incredibly delicate, and every single showroom dress has been handmade by Toni and our team with so much love and time. We kindly ask that no jewellery is worn while trying on dresses to prevent snagging or damage.

Over the past year, several of our samples have unfortunately been marked or snagged through careless handling, which is truly disheartening for our team. Simply taking a little extra care by removing sharp rings, bracelets or necklaces, and gently pulling the dresses on and off does help keep our pieces in beautiful condition for everyone to enjoy.


Our No-Children Policy

Our showroom has concrete flooring, tall free-standing rails holding a large number of heavy dresses, and floor-to-ceiling mirrors throughout, making it a beautiful but not child-friendly environment. For safety reasons, small children are not permitted in the showroom unless they are being fitted for a junior bridesmaid dress that we are making for them and they are part of the bridal party so fully involved in your appointment.

We want every bridal party to enjoy their appointment to the fullest, and as the experience is designed for you and your bridesmaids, it isn’t a suitable setting for young children to wait or play. Unfortunately, following several incidents involving unsupervised children, including accidents on our concrete flooring and damage to our new showroom, we’ve had to put this policy firmly in place to ensure everyone’s safety and to keep the space pristine for all guests.

This policy does not apply to breastfeeding brides or bridesmaids. If you are breastfeeding, you are absolutely welcome to bring your baby along. We simply ask that, if your little one becomes unsettled and we have other appointments taking place, you take a moment upstairs to feed or settle them, to help maintain a calm and comfortable experience for all clients.


Food and Drink

External food and drinks are not allowed in our retail space around our handmade dresses, please do however ask one of our stylists if you would like a glass of water while you are in session and they will be happy to provide you with the refreshment should you require one. 



FORGETTING SHOES FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT IF MEASUREMENTS ARE TO BE TAKEN AT YOUR APPOINTMENT 

If any of your bridesmaids do not have shoes when they are being measured by us then we are now unfortunately not able to take responsibility if the dress length is made incorrectly or if the length is only slightly out. An alteration will be refused and we would need full payment to remake the dress. It is absolutely vital that your bridesmaids bring a pair of shoes that is the exact same heel height that they are wearing on your wedding day, and even better if the are the exact shoes that they will be wearing. Measurements will be taken when everything has been finalised and ideally shoes should be purchased before measurements are taken to  avoid added stress to yourself and potential added costs.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all personal information, measurements, and order details are correct at the time of submitting your order online or upon receipt of your aftercare brochure if you have confirmed an order in store and received an invoice. We have an amendment/cooling off period of 5-days 

If measurements are taken in our showroom, they will be recorded and signed off by the customer or their party representative as confirmation of accuracy. If measurements are provided remotely, the customer assumes full responsibility for their accuracy.

We are not liable for garments that do not fit due to incorrect or changed measurements after order confirmation.

Any alterations required as a result of weight change, body fluctuation, incorrect measurements, or personal preference are chargeable.

While we make every effort to ensure that all information provided, whether verbally, by email, or through our website - is accurate and up to date, details such as lead times, production capacity, and availability are subject to change at any time in line with our business operations.

Any advice, estimates, or information previously provided should be treated as a guide only and may no longer be accurate if a significant period of time has passed since your last correspondence. We consider 1 month or more to be a significant period of time where guidance could change. Reliance on historical communication or outdated lead-time guidance is at your own discretion and risk.

We strongly recommend that customers refer to our website or contact us directly for the most current information before booking an appointment or placing an order. Bridesmaid by JB Ltd will not be held responsible for any reliance placed on information that has since been updated or superseded.

Please note that this website may occasionally contain historical content, which is provided for reference only. We do our very best to keep all information on our website, social media and communications as accurate and up to date as possible. However, as a made-to-order business with fluctuating demand, lead times, availability and capacity can change at any time depending on order volumes which we can not control but we can and will halt order volumes when we reach capacity for any given wedding month.

Any advice or information you may have received from us in the past whether in person, by email, or on social media should be used as a guide only and may no longer reflect our current production schedule or capacity.

Availability is only guaranteed once an appointment or order has been confirmed in writing and full payment has been received.

Order Amendments & Cooling-off period

Because every Bridesmaid by JB dress is made to order, all garments are classed as bespoke items and are therefore non-refundable and non-cancellable once production has begun. However, we understand that plans can change in the early stages of your order. To support our customers, we offer a 5-day amendment/cooling-off period from the date your order is confirmed. We do not include this 5 days within your lead-time as standard, regardless of changes made or not, it is implemented on all orders to maintain consistency within our production schedule.

During this period, you may request minor adjustments. For example, changes to measurements, dress style, colour, or design details provided that:

Production has not yet started (cutting, pattern work or fabric allocation).

The change is confirmed in writing via email within the 5-day timeframe.

After this 5-day period, all details are final and locked for production, and no further changes can be accepted.

Once you give us the go ahead with your order we will commence work straight away and changes cannot then be made even if we are still within the 5-day period.

If we do not receive a reply to our email, after the 5-day amendment/cooling-off period your order will go into production and it will be hand made to the style/colour/measurements we have on file and no changes can be made.

This policy allows us to maintain a smooth production schedule and ensure your fabrics are reserved and cut correctly from the same batch for your bridal party.

Refund Policy 

 Bridesmaid by is a UK based made-to-order womenswear brand. Returns are unfortunately not accepted on any item that complies with being made-to-order. All designs on the Bridesmaid website are custom made from fabric purchased specifically to fulfil each individual order and they are hand made to-measure. If there is a problem with an order that relates to a production issue at Bridesmaid by JB then an alteration/replacement on the goods will be offered to rectify the issue. Because every product is custom-made to your specifications, if the order has already been produced Bridesmaid by JB retains the right to solely offer an alteration/replacement when seeking to rectify any problem with an order.


A FULL refund can be offered only when an order is cancelled within 5 days of being placed, prior to the fabric being ordered and any work being undertaken by Bridesmaid by JB. If you need to cancel an order you should contact customer services on hello@bridesmaidbyjb.com at your earliest convenience.

Order Process

Each Bridesmaid by JB gown is handmade to order, and every order goes through a structured process to ensure accuracy and quality.

An order is considered confirmed & moved to production once we have received:

- Full payment

- All required measurements for each bridesmaid, and 

- Final confirmation of dress style(s), design details, and chosen colour(s).

Production cannot begin until all of the above have been received and approved. If any information/measurements or payments are missing, your order will remain on hold until the outstanding details are provided. This helps us prevent errors, delays, or inconsistencies within bridal parties.

Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an official confirmation email. This marks the start of your estimated production timeframe. Our standard lead time is approximately 12–16 weeks, our lead-times vary depending on the season, demand levels, or fabric availability. Please note that lead times are estimates, not guarantees, and may extend during peak production periods so our appointment guidance may not always be accurate as we can not control the volume of orders we receive each month.

To keep your order on track, we ask that all communication regarding orders be made via email and come only from the email address on your order and not a third party. This ensures we maintain a clear written record of all information, design preferences, and updates, protecting both you and our team from any misunderstandings.

We are unable to accept or track order changes or confirmations made through social media messages or phone calls. Any amendments to your order (such as a change in style, colour, or measurements) must be requested in writing via email within 5-days of order confirmation, in line with our amendment/cooling-off policy. After this period, all details are locked for production.

Once production begins, your dresses will move through individual pattern drafting, cutting, sewing, and quality control stages in our in-house studio. At this point, your order cannot be altered or cancelled under any circumstances.

Before dispatch, each dress is thoroughly checked by our production team to ensure that it meets our quality standards. You will then receive a confirmation email with delivery details..

If you place an order with us and payment is confirmed but then you change the final design / colour, your shipping confirmation will still show as the existing designs and not the new ones as we can not change the information online, we have to manually amend your order details.

Cancellation Policy 

We understand that plans may change and unforeseen circumstances cannot be helped so we do have a cancellation policy incase you do need to cancel an order placed with Bridesmaid by JB. If you need to cancel an order you are able to do so up to 28 days after your purchase to receive a full refund only if we have not yet purchased the fabric or began to produce your order.


A full refund can only be processed within the amendment/cooling off 5-day period if no work or fabric costs have occurred to Bridesmaid by JB, If costs have occurred to Bridesmaid by JB then these will be factored into the refund amount. If you need to cancel your Bridesmaid by JB order after the 5-day period an order can still be cancelled however there will be a cancellation fee which includes merchant charges and an administration fee of £50. If we have already purchased your fabric and then request to cancel your order the cost of the fabric that we have purchased for your order will come off the refund amount and any other costs that may have occurred to Bridesmaid by JB will be factored into the refund amount.

Respect & Behaviour

Our team of talented ladies work incredibly hard to make every experience special to our deserving brides.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for any verbal abuse, threats or harassment — in person, by phone, email or online.

If any of the above happens, we retain the right end communication with immediate effect and we may even refuse to continue with an order.

Serious incidents may be reported to the relevant authorities.

We’re a small, dedicated team and we pride ourselves on friendly, respectful and professional communication at all times.

Please note that all order-related communication must be kept to email. This allows us to keep a full written record, track progress, and ensure nothing is missed. 

We’re unable to manage orders or respond to queries via social media DMs, as those channels are not closely monitored. Under no circumstances must you send anything related to an order via social media DM, if we see it, it might not be in a timely manner and you will be simply directed to the relevant mailbox listed above.

Our typical response time is within 48 hours (Monday–Friday), and we always aim to reply as quickly as possible. During peak wedding season when we receive a surge of emails our response times may be extended. To help keep communication efficient and successful please include as much information as possible in your outreach including your order number and order details and respond to any information requests promptly.

For data protection and to ensure complete accuracy with every order, we can only communicate with the email address associated with the original booking. Unfortunately, we’re unable to discuss order details or updates with third parties  including bridesmaids, family members, or friends.

Please ensure that all correspondence comes directly from you as the main client. This helps us maintain clear communication, avoid any misunderstandings, and protect your order details

Time sensitive Communication

To help us respond quickly and accurately to time-sensitive enquiries, we kindly ask that clients do not use the word “URGENT” (or similar wording) in email subjects or messages.

As a small team, we organise all responses using a clear priority system based on wedding and event dates. Using heightened language such as “URGENT” can be quite intimidating and it does not influence response time, it can interrupt the workflow we use to support every bride fairly, we will always be back in touch with you as quickly as we can and with your added support of providing wedding/event date in your subject line we can prioritise your query properly.

Instead, if your enquiry is time-sensitive, please include your wedding or event date clearly in the subject line (for example: “Measurement Query - Wedding 12/07/2026”).

This allows us to:

See immediately your Wedding date/event date which grabs our attention

Prioritise based on genuine deadlines

Locate your order quickly to speed up our responses

Provide efficient support to all brides

Emails marked only as “URGENT” will not be prioritised. Priority is always determined by wedding/event dates and lead-times, not wording.

Faults, Repairs and Quality control 

Each garment is individually handmade by Bridesmaid by JB Ltd and undergoes a thorough quality inspection before leaving our studio.

In the unlikely event that a manufacturing fault is discovered, customers must notify us within 7 days of receiving the item and provide clear photographic evidence for assessment.

If a genuine manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will offer a free repair service. Refunds or replacements will only be considered if a repair is not reasonably possible.

Garments must be returned to us for inspection before any corrective action can be taken. For verified faults, we will reimburse reasonable return postage costs (up to the value of a Royal Mail Tracked 48 service).

Please note that minor variations in seam placement, internal finishing, or other small details are inherent to handmade production and are not considered faults.

Bridesmaid by JB Ltd does not provide compensation for any alterations, repairs, or adjustments carried out by third parties.

Should you choose to use an external seamstress or tailor, this is entirely at your own discretion and expense.

We operate an in-house alterations and repair service designed to support our clients quickly and efficiently ahead of their wedding date. If you decline our service, we cannot accept responsibility for the outcome or costs incurred through any external provider.

Colours and Fabric Disclaimer

Bridesmaid by JB Ltd purchases all fabrics from trusted UK independent suppliers. To minimise wastage, fabrics are ordered in quantities that reflect current production volumes. As with all textile production, slight variations in tone may occur from batch to batch due to differences in dye lots, lighting conditions, and screen display settings. These variations are a natural characteristic of the manufacturing process and are not considered defects.

For this reason, we strongly recommend that all bridesmaid dresses required for the same bridal party are ordered together, within a single order. This ensures that all garments are cut from the same fabric roll for the most consistent possible colour match. Bridesmaid by JB Ltd cannot guarantee colour consistency between separate orders, even if placed within a short period of time.

All images and videos uploaded on any of Bridesmaid by JB's online channels are done so without applying any filters or altering apps, and while we do our best to ensure consistency with our colours as best we can, lighting and other factors can make the same colour over different photos and videos look different which is beyond our control.

With permission from our brides and suppliers, we may share photos and videos featuring our bridesmaids on our website and social media channels to showcase our work. Please note that professional photographers often apply filters, lighting effects, or editing which may alter how fabrics and colours appear. Bridesmaid by JB Ltd cannot be held responsible for any differences in tone, colour, or finish resulting from external photography or digital enhancement.

All images are used solely to demonstrate our craftsmanship and designs as worn by real customers. We always recommend ordering fabric samples prior to purchase to view the most accurate representation of colour and texture in person.

Shipping & Delivery Policy

We take great pride in ensuring each gown reaches you safely and on time, and we’ve outlined our full shipping policy below for clarity and peace of mind.

Once production is complete, each order undergoes a detailed quality-control inspection before dispatch, we require a minimum of 2-3 days upon completion to carry out our detailed checks and for our signature detailed packing to be carried out by our team.

Orders are dispatched only after full payment has cleared, this is inclusive of any price adjustments payments our add on invoices that may be outstanding.

Our standard production timeframe is 12–16 weeks from the date of order confirmation (when payment and all measurements have been received + the 5-day amendment/cooling off period).

Please note that this timeframe refers to production only, shipping time is additional and depends on your delivery address and courier service.

During peak wedding seasons or unexpected supply-chain delays, dispatch times may extend slightly. We will always notify you with as much notice as possible if we anticipate any delays in production.


UK Shipping

All UK deliveries are sent with Royal Mail via tracked and signed-for courier services (tracked 24 / 48)

Once your parcel leaves our premises, you will receive a dispatch confirmation email with your tracking number so you can follow your parcel’s journey.

Delivery within the UK typically takes 1–3 working days after dispatch.

Please ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to sign for your parcel. If no one is available, the courier will leave a calling card or delivery notification for you to rearrange delivery or collection. 


Rest of the World Shipping, Customs & Import Charges

We strongly recommend that all international customers check potential customs or import fees before placing an order to avoid any unexpected costs.

1 dress weighs 650-900grams (approx) - for weight estimation charges. Please check the cost of our designs for VAT / import charges before ordering

All international orders including those to the Republic of Ireland are sent via tracked courier services such as Royal Mail International Tracked

Please note that import duties, customs fees, and local taxes may be applied by your destination country’s customs authorities once your parcel arrives.

These charges are not included in our product prices or shipping costs, and must be paid by the customer directly to the courier or customs office before delivery can be completed.

Customs fees vary between countries and are calculated based on factors such as:

Total order value (including shipping)

Local tax rates (e.g., VAT or import tax)

Product type and fabric composition

Bridesmaid by JB Ltd has no control over these charges and cannot predict or reimburse them. Refusal to pay customs fees may result in your parcel being held, delayed, or returned to us.

If this occurs, we can reship your order once any return shipping fees and new delivery charges have been paid in full.

Once your parcel leaves the UK, it is subject to your country’s customs and import regulations. Bridesmaid by JB Ltd cannot influence processing times or reduce the fees applied. Any delays caused by customs inspections or local handling are beyond our control and are not eligible for refunds or compensation.


Lost or Delayed Parcels

Once an order has been dispatched and tracking information provided, the parcel is in the hands of Royal Mail. Bridesmaid by JB Ltd cannot accept responsibility for lost, delayed, or damaged parcels once they are in transit.

If your parcel appears delayed or missing, please contact Royal Mail directly using your tracking number. We’re always happy to assist in locating your order, but ultimate responsibility lies with Royal Mail once your item has left our premises and tracking reference has been sent to you.


If a parcel is marked as delivered by Royal Mail, we cannot issue a replacement or refund. Customers are advised to check with household members, neighbours, or local delivery offices before contacting us.


Damaged Parcels

All orders are packaged carefully to protect your garments during transit.

If your parcel arrives damaged, please take clear photographs of the outer packaging and the garments inside before opening or moving them further.

Report any damage to us by email within 24 hours of receipt so we can investigate with Royal Mail

We cannot accept responsibility for damage reported after this time frame or once the dresses have been worn, altered, or handled extensively.


Showroom Collections (In-Person Collection)

Customers collecting their orders in person from our showroom will receive a confirmation email once their dresses are ready.

Collections must be booked in advance so that we can prepare your order for release and arrange a suitable collection to not interrupt any in progress appointments.

Once collected and the collector has left our premises with an order, responsibility for the garments transfers to the customer.


Address Accuracy

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide a complete and correct delivery address. Bridesmaid by JB Ltd is not liable for parcels delivered to an incorrect address due to customer error. If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, re-delivery costs will be chargeable. 


Delivery Responsibility & Risk

Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer once the parcel has been collected by, or delivered to, Royal Mail.

We always recommend tracking your parcel and ensuring someone is available to accept delivery on the expected date.


Packaging & Sustainability

We use protective, recyclable packaging to keep your dresses safe in transit while minimising environmental impact.

Where possible, please recycle or reuse your packaging responsibly.
