Easy at home Alterations

we offer a 14-day turnaround on all confirmed alterations, so your dresses will be ready in time for your special day.

Alterations & Customisations

Every gown is made-to-measure by our in-house team to the measurements agreed on your order. If you need to get in touch for aftercare, please follow our process and our team will be happy to assist.

How It Works

  1. Ensure the dress is on correctly — Sounds silly I know, but step into the dress, pull it up (fitted silouettes will need a jiggle) , ensure that the waistline seam is sat on your waist and the side seams sit directly down the side of your body, adjust the top to sit comfortably and confirm, are you happy? If no, you may need aftercare assistance.
  2. Refer to your aftercare brochure — If you believe there is an issue with the fit of a dress, you must first locate your aftercare brochure with the confirmed design, measurements and customisations agreed. Then re-measure yourself to compare the original measurements submitted to todays measurements to establish if there are any discrepancies.
  3. Send a complete submission — Once you have completed the above, if you require further assistance please click the ’Start an alteration’ button below, and fill out the generated email accordingly to submit your alteration request.
  4. Review — We will assess the request and confirm feasibility of the requested alteration, cost (if applicable) and timeframe, the more information you include in your email, the quicker our investigation and solution can be produced. Our alterations lead time is between 1-2 weeks upon receipt of a dress depending on the complexity of the alteration needed, custom designs may take 2-3 weeks.
  5. Approve & pay (if applicable) — After the review of the information and photos/videos you have provided to us we will discuss with you the next steps.

Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed and will cause delays with aftercare solutions, please include as much detail as possible to help us help you.

Are alterations free?

Alterations costs are covered by our small team if we conclude that an errors has been made in production. In those rare cases, we will happily correct the issue at no cost after our thorough investigation process.

Outside of this, alterations are not included in the price of your dress. Because of the nature of our fabrics and the fact that each dress is made to your individual measurements, most bridesmaids require very minimal tweaks, and many need none at all providing measurements have not changed.

We do offer an optional, chargeable in-house alterations service, but many clients prefer to use a trusted local seamstress for convenience and flexible fitting times.

The length of my dress is absolutely fine but I don't want the small train that has come with it, can I have this removed?

Yes we can remove the small puddle train at the back of the bottom of your dress that comes with all gowns as standard, the fee of this is £25

How long do I have to notify you of any alterations after I have received my bridesmaid order?

We must receive an alteration back at the studio within 28 days of the confirmed delivery of an order in order to carry out any work on a dress. Thereafter we are not able to complete an alteration as we have a rolling 28 day alteration allocation for all orders. If you are not able to get an alteration back to us within this timeframe, any local alterations specialist will be able to help you with your dress(es). We completely understand that life can be busy and you may not see all your bridesmaids as soon as your order is delivered but we can not make any exceptions to late arrivals of alterations past the 28 days of confirmed delivery, we are a small team and we can't be stretched more than we are capable of. We ask you to pre-plan for a week or so after the planned delivery of your order to have a try on session with your bridesmaids if you can.

I know the instructions say to measure while stood in your shoes/heels but I did my measurement from my shoulder to my floor with no shoes on and my dress is too short, what do I do?

In this instance if the dress has been made to the length that we have on your order form and you believe this is too short for you, you would need to either consider wearing a flat shoe with your dress per the length measured or if you would like a new longer dress making you would need to pay for a replacement skirt. We can purchase more fabric and make a new longer skirt for you

Total Cost -  From £95 for the fabric & production costs

What happens if we requested/measured the length of the dress to be longer than the bridesmaid's actual shoulder to floor measurement and it needs taking up?

In this instance if the dress has been made to the length that we have on your order form and you decide this is actually far too long, and you wish to send it back to us to shorten the dress:

Total Cost - From £25 for the production costs

One of my bridesmaids has been on a drastic weight loss journey / has been taking weight loss injections and has lost a considerable amount of weight so her dress is too big for her, what can be done?

In this instance if the measurements have dropped below those we have hand made the dress for then the dress would require a full rework. We can achieve this however we would require at least 2 weeks to carry out this type of alteration.

Total Cost - From £95
