Brand HISTORY
Toni Jeffrey was born in Essex and moved up to the North West in primary school and she has lived in Preston ever since. She founded her first business Jeffrey Boutique over 10 years ago. This evolved into Haus of JB where she focused on evening wear and occasion wear. Toni began making prom dresses in 2013 the pride she felt seeing how beautiful and comfortable the girls looked in their dresses pushed Toni to want more. After making her first official bridesmaid order in 2018 there was no doubt this was what she was going to be doing for the rest of her life and Bridesmaid by JB was born!
WHERE IT STARTED
While studying Marketing Management with Fashion at university, Toni found herself frustrated by the lack of affordable outfits that suited her figure. As a student on a tight budget, she decided to try making her own dresses despite having no sewing experience at the time.
After receiving a sewing machine for Christmas, Toni taught herself everything from scratch. What began as a creative outlet quickly turned into a true passion. The process of designing and making dresses brought her a deep sense of purpose, and it wasn’t long before friends and family began to request custom pieces of their own.
That love for dressmaking eventually evolved into Bridesmaid by JB a brand dedicated to creating made-to-measure bridesmaid dresses that flatter every shape, celebrate individuality, and offer a truly memorable experience for bridal parties.

Thirteen years after unwrapping her very first sewing machine on Christmas morning Toni is now the founder of a thriving brand. Today, Bridesmaid by JB has evolved into a team of eleven talented women, all driven by the same passion: delivering made to measure bridesmaid dresses that celebrate every shape and size.
Every design on the Bridesmaid by JB website is designed and handmade by Toni and her team, blending expert craftsmanship with a modern, fashion-forward approach to bridesmaid dresses. Over the years, Toni has built an extensive knowledge of fit, fabric and design, leading to the honour of creating bespoke bridesmaid dresses for the bridal parties of public figures such as footballer Harry Maguire and television personality Dani Dyer.
Bridesmaid by JB was proudly named Bridesmaid Retailer of the Year at the County Brides North West Wedding Awards not once, but twice. Taking home the title in both 2024 and 2025.
Despite the brand’s incredible growth, the heart of the business remains the same: offering a genuinely personal, warm and expert service to every bridal party.
